History and Introduction

Feng Shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000
years ago in China. "Feng" means wind and "Shui" means
water (pronounced fung-shway). In Chinese culture a gentle
wind and clear water always meant good harvest and good
health. Therefore good feng shui meant good livelihood and
good fortune, while bad feng shui meant hardship and
misfortune. The dragon in China symbolizes good fortune.
This is why dragons are often seen in Chinese culture and
decor.
Feng Shui astrology or horoscopes are based on the
characteristics that are an inherent part of the natures of the
12 animals. Every year is marked with an animal year and
this cycle changes after every twelve years. The 12 animals
